Day 1 — The Beginning

Our adventure began with an insightful welcome from VP of Sales Nick Meyer, who set the tone for the event. The highlight of the morning was a panel featuring NetSuite stars Sam Levy, Erin Brodie, and Nick himself, who dissected the critical importance of analytics in today’s data-driven environment.

We delved into the essentials of enhancing sales opportunities and forming solid alliances, spearheaded by the expertise of Felicia Gottheim. The knowledge shared was not only theoretical but also extremely actionable, closely aligning with our goals at 8Quanta to develop long-lasting client relationships.

During one of the most insightful sessions, we learned about the remarkable efficiencies businesses are achieving with NetSuite Enterprise Performance Management (EPM):

  • Time Management: A significant reduction in data collection time and increase in time allocated to actionable insights have allowed companies to focus more on strategic activities rather than mundane tasks.
  • Advancements in Predictive Planning: Many users have expanded their use of predictive planning, harnessing the power of foresight in business operations.
  • Enhanced Forecast Accuracy: The accuracy of forecasts has improved for users, a testament to the robust capabilities of NetSuite’s analytical tools.
  • Strategic Modeling: Adoption of strategic modeling has skyrocketed and enabling businesses to perform complex financial simulations and scenario analysis more efficiently.
  • Streamlined Planning: The planning process has become more agile, with reduction in the days required for monthly planning and reduction in time needed for annual planning.

The benefits of the NetSuite Analytics Warehouse are too compelling to overlook, as highlighted in another session:

  • Transitioning to NetSuite from third-party BI and ETL tools can save businesses in costs, providing a more economical approach to data management.
  • The implementation of solutions is six times faster, thanks to pre-built components and seamless integrations, accelerating the path to value.

One of the most transformative sessions we experienced at Analytics Live delved into the cutting-edge advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence integrated within NetSuite’s platform. The session demonstrated how AI-driven analytics can significantly enhance decision-making processes, offering predictive insights and anomaly detection that revolutionize how we approach business intelligence. This insight is especially relevant for us at 8Quanta, as it aligns with our mission to deliver forward-thinking solutions to our clients.

As the day transitioned to evening, the atmosphere turned more informal with a happy hour hosted by MindStream Analytics at Upstairs at Caroline restaurant. This was  a great social event with an extension of the learning environment, where we exchanged ideas and built connections beyond professional boundaries.

Day 2 — The Future

The second day was charged with an air of anticipation as we explored what the future holds for NetSuite. The presentations by Blanca Barragan and Brian Amato on the latest updates and features in NetSuite Analytics were particularly enlightening. Their talk provided a glimpse into the evolving landscape of cloud solutions, which directly impacts our work at 8Quanta.

Jason Wells and Ian Henneberger took the stage to demonstrate the practical applications of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), showing us the expansive capabilities of NetSuite tools. Their session not only educated but also inspired us to think about how we can integrate these advancements into our services.

The event concluded with a panel discussion that resonated deeply with us, as it addressed real-world challenges and successes in project management within the NetSuite ecosystem. This discussion was a treasure trove of insights, offering lessons from both triumphs and trials.

At 8Quanta, our journey through Analytics Live in Austin was not only enriching but also illuminating, especially when it came to the detailed sessions on NetSuite’s tools and capabilities.
